  • Tanakh – Old Testament or First Covenant and a Hebrew acronym for “Torah”, the “Prophets,” and the “Writings”.
  • Tefillin – Leather boxes attached to leather thongs wound around the head or arm, used by very religious Jews during prayer.  The box contains portions of the Torah (Deut. 6:8); also called phylacteries.
  • The Sh’ma – Jewish affirmation of faith (Deut. 6:4) recited morning and evening by Jews & Messianic Believers.
